Agriculture Summer Batch 2022


The closing ceremony of the 21-day Boot Camp of the ‘Sharad Pawar Inspire Fellowship in Agriculture’ - Summer Batch (23rd May to16th June) was held on 16th June in the presence of Hon’ble Sharadchandraji Pawar. The Former Deputy Chief Minister Hon. Ajit Pawar, Executive President of Chavan Centre MP Supriya Sule, Industrialist and Chairperson of Adani Group Gautam Adani & Preeti Adani, President of the Fellowship Program Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Vivek Sawant, Rajendra Pawar, C. D Mai Nilesh Nalavde and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

The youth participating in this camp must consistently take efforts towards the goal of making their new concepts useful to the society. The names of two big personalities- Yashwantrao Chavan, architect of modern Maharashtra and Sharad Pawar, a senior leader who has contributed in various fields like agriculture, art, literature, defense, sports etc., are associated with this scholarship. Therefore, great expectations and responsibility lie with the participating youth to uphold the same conduct. The Camp’s purpose is to encourage the progressive youth to come forward with creative ideas related to agriculture and agribusiness, that will be essential for the advancement of the society. New research is being done globally in the field of agriculture. This research must be made accessible to the farmers so that we can bridge the gap between research and practicality. Therefore, new concepts need to be devised with effort and research to assist the farmers with new technology, knowledge and effective farming practices. With the aim of significantly contributing to the society, the dignitaries guided the fellow participants on these points.

This fellowship is given by Yashwantrao Chavan Centre to salute the illustrious career of Hon’ble Pawar Saheb. All fellows will continue to be supported by the Yashwantrao Chavan Centre. We are trying to achieve success and advancement in the field of agriculture, that will make the country proud. Even in the current challenging situation, these fellows will definitely carry out developmental activities in the agricultural sector.

The Centre plans to give the fellowship to about 500 people in the next 5 to 7 years, MP Supriya Sule conveyed during the event. On this occasion, Hon. Ajit Pawar, Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Vivek Sawant, Rajendra Pawar also interacted with the fellows and cheques were distributed to the fellows by the dignitaries.
